Golden rectangle

Parthenon gold number

Parthenon: Extremely precise construction, respecting the golden ratio.

A rectangle is considered golden if the proportion of the two sides (width and length) is equal to the golden number. On the facade of the Parthenon find the golden rectangular parallelogram. This is its most famous use in architecture. As far as symbolism is concerned, we do not find anything special in this regular quadrilateral.
