Masonic Trowel

Masonic Trowel

During construction, bricklayers used trowels to spread cement over bricks or stones. Freemasons use the trowel as a symbol of the Master Worker. As in construction, the trowel is symbolically used to spread brotherly love in the craft.

The person spreading love is a figurative trowel, and the spreading love is cement. Masonic brotherly love means the perseverance that a person has created by limiting personal desires and passions in order to bring peace and harmony to the people around him. Love is not limited to fellow Freemasons.

Instead, it should be shared with anyone Mason interacts with.
