Knot Dara

Another of the most famous Celtic symbols is the Celtic Dara knot. This symbol boasts an intertwined pattern and a name that derives from the Irish word Doire, which means oak.

The Gift knot is formed from this word, and the symbol represents the root system of an ancient oak tree. Like other Celtic knot symbols, the Dara knot consists of intertwined lines with no beginning or end.

Dara Celtic Knot does not have a single design, but all versions focus on a common theme of oak and its roots.

The Celts and Druids revered nature, especially the ancient oaks, and considered them sacred. They saw in the oak a symbol of strength, power, wisdom and endurance.
