The sacred or life chakra (Svadhisthana, Svadhishthana) - the second (one of the main) chakras of a person - is located below the navel (about 3 cm).

Symbol appearance

Svadhisthana is depicted as a white lotus (Nelumbo nucifera). It has six petals with the syllables baṃ, भं bhaṃ, मं maṃ, यं yaṃ, रं raṃ, and लं laṃ. Within this lotus there is a white crescent, which represents the watery area under the direction of the deity Varuna.

The six petals represent the following modes of consciousness, also known as vrittis: feeling, ruthlessness, destructiveness, delusion, contempt and suspicion .

Chakra function

The sacral chakra is often associated with pleasure, self-esteem, relationships, sensuality and childbirth ... Its element is water, and its color is orange. Svadhishthana is associated with vitality, emotions and feelings ...
