Victory banner

The victory banner originated as a military standard in the ancient Indian war. Banners will be decorated in different ways depending on the deity that it was supposed to convey and lead. In Buddhism, the banner represents the triumphs of the Buddha over the four maras or obstacles to enlightenment.
