Egyptian style tattoo

In our subjective opinion, Egyptian-style tattoos are not so popular among people inhabiting Europe, Asia and the countries of the American continent.

Nevertheless, all over the world you can find owners of laconic symbols of ancient Egyptian culture, which do not lose their relevance today. Among the most common subjects of Egyptian tattoos are the following.

  1. Various images of the sun. The solar disk symbolized the supreme god Ra and for millennia was the main attribute of many cultures, including the Egyptian.
  2. Cats and other sacred animals. Everyone knows very well about one of the main attractions of Egypt - the Sphinx monument, which guards the entrance to the tomb of the pharaoh. Cats are truly considered sacred animals, which is reflected in tattoos as well.
  3. Images of gods and pharaohs. Such tattoos are depicted in the classic Egyptian style - in profile... In addition to key characters, one of the legends or stories that have survived to this day in the form of wall paintings and papyrus texts can be reproduced on the skin.
  4. Laconic symbols such as the ANKH and the eye in the pyramid.

We present our collection of photos and sketches of Egyptian tattoos and, as always, we are waiting for your comments!
