First tattoo - golden tip [part 1]

Are you thinking about getting your first tattoo? In the next three texts, we'll give you everything you need to know and think about before you sit down in a chair in a tattoo studio. Be sure to read our golden tips! Let's start by choosing a pattern.

Are your thoughts still revolving around the tattoo? This is a sign that you should pay close attention to it. And there is something to think about, you have to make a number of decisions!

Fashionable / unfashionable

Choosing a pattern is probably the most difficult task. If you don't have tattoos on your body yet, then you have a lot of possibilities. The most important thing is to think about what really suits your style and what best shows your character. Making this decision do not follow the fashion! Fashion passes, but the tattoo remains. There are many popular topics that are breaking records on Instagram. If you are planning a pattern like this, consider if this is a temporary hobby, but something that you can identify with for a long time. Of course, fashionable and popular tattoos, such as hearts, anchors or roses, often become immortals, maybe the infinity sign will become a symbol of our time and enter the canon? Think of the Chinese characters that were popular in the 90s ... do you already know what's going on? 🙂

Color

When choosing a style, you also decide whether your tattoo will be colored or black. When thinking about colors, consider your skin tone. Do not imagine the pattern on a snow-white piece of paper, but on your skin. You know exactly what color it suits your face, so it's not difficult 🙂

Meaning?

There is a myth or belief that a tattoo is something more. It hides some kind of bottom or hidden symbol. Sometimes this is true, of course, the tattoo may be a symbol, have a meaning known only to its owner, or ... it may not matter 🙂 Think about which of these possibilities is right for you. Remember, if you decide to get a tattoo that you just love, it's okay. Not every tattoo needs to be a manifesto! But be prepared for endless questions - what does that mean? : /

Tattoo after years

Before proceeding with the final choice of patterns, one more point must be taken into account. When you look at various tattoos, you usually see them just done, meaning they have perfect contours and colors. However, remember that the tattoo will change over the years. Fine lines will melt and become thicker over time, colors will become less pronounced, and very delicate elements may even fade. This is important, especially with small, delicate tattoos - small tattoos should be simple enough, uncomplicated, so that the pattern remains clear despite the time. You can see how tattoos are aging on this page.

Once you think about the aforementioned problems, you can start looking for your perfect pattern! Don't be limited to Instagram or Pinterest, you can get inspiration from albums, nature, daily life, art galleries, travel, history ... according to your interests. Give yourself some time at this stage, take your time. When you think you've already chosen, wait another 3-4 weeks to make sure it's definitely a good choice;)
