How to draw a carnival
How to draw a carnival in stages. Pancake week
Place a sheet of paper horizontally. We draw a line of the far edge of the table - this is the vanishing line of the vertical plane of the wall and the horizontal plane of the table. The line is well below the middle of the sheet. We don't need a pencil anymore.
We divide the vertical plane of the wall into three zones - the light (the lightest part) is done in yellow-white, the half-light (darker part) in ocher (sand) color and the penumbra (the darkest part of the background) in yellow-brown. You should pay attention to the direction of movement of the brush, on the vertical plane and the stroke is vertical and inclined, and on the horizontal stroke horizontal and inclined.
We blur the boundaries between light, semi-light and penumbra, making tone transitions smoother.
We divide the horizontal plane into two parts - light and half-light, since the horizontal plane is lighter than the vertical one. We blur the boundaries between light and half-light making the tone transitions smoother. It should be borne in mind that when dried, gouache is significantly lightened. Let's start making the cover. We outline the main volume of the belly of the lid. We draw the neck of the lid. Fill the jar with color. We draw shadows on the abdomen and on the neck of the lid. Slightly blur the shadows along the inner contour, softening the borders. We draw light on the abdomen and on the neck of the lid. Slightly blur the light along the outer contour, softening its borders. We draw fabric on the neck of the jug. We draw the top of the fabric with white, the edges with blue. We draw folds on the fabric. We work out the light and shadows on the top and bottom of the fabric. We draw shadows under the fabric on the neck of the jug. We outline the silhouette of the dish. We draw falling shadows under the dish and the pot, slightly blur the shadows along the outer contour, softening their borders. Охристым (песочным) цветом намечаем контур стопки блинов. Заполняем контуры цветом. With thin wavy strokes, we divide the stack of pancakes into separate “pancakes”. We work out the light and shadows on the top and on the side of the stack of pancakes. With small dots we give pancakes the effect of a porous structure We draw a hill of sour cream on pancakes. We outline the silhouette of the bowl in the foreground. We draw the bottom of the bowl, the upper rim and sour cream in the bowl. We work out the shadows on the bottom, rim and belly of the bowl. We outline the color of the scoop of the spoon. Draw the handle of the spoon with color. We are working on the light and shadows on the handle and scoop of the spoon. Select the rim of the spoon scoop with the help of a shadow. With a thin brush, draw an ornament on the scoop of the spoon and on the belly of the bowl (the ornament should not be very bright, not distracting and not crushing the shape of objects). Draw falling shadows under the spoon and bowl Slightly blur the shadows along the outer contour, softening their borders. We draw light translucent shadows behind the objects. We “break” the planes of the table and walls into separate boards. With light translucent strokes we create the texture of wood fibers on the boards of the table and the wall. With the help of light shadows, we separate the boards from each other. Our work is completed. Good luck in your work!
