Stages of tattoo healing

Nowadays, decorating your body with a tattoo has become quite a fashionable and widespread trend not only among the young population, but among middle-aged people.

However, you should always remember that a tattoo on the body is not only a beautiful drawing, but also a rather complicated procedure. Which injures the skin and if the master does it poorly and neglects some of the rules, then for the client it most likely will not end with anything good.

In addition, the person who wants to get a tattoo should know that after the filling procedure, some time must pass for the skin to heal. And at this moment, you will need to observe some precautions so that there are no problems in the future.

On average, the "healing" period takes about 10 days. Everything will depend on proper care and individual physiological characteristics of a person.

In addition, factors such as the site of application must be taken into account in this process. For example, a tattoo on the back or neck can heal for 2 weeks. You also need to take into account the size of the tattoo.

A small pattern drawn in thin lines will heal quickly enough. But a large drawing, which is superimposed in several stages and often in wide lines, can stretch the healing process up to a whole month.

The first stage

For the first two days, the area where the tattoo was applied will be red and swollen. The skin can itch, ache, and possibly even the appearance of a liquid discharge, sometimes mixed with the pigment that was applied to the tattoo.

After completing the work, the master must treat the place with a special healing agent, which is applied for several hours. An absorbent bandage is applied on top. At home, the client will have to very carefully wash the area with warm water and soap, then dry it and treat it with a special care product every 6 hours. All this is done during the first 2 days.

If the inflammation does not go away for a long time, then it is advisable to treat the wound with antiseptic Chlorhexidine or Miramistin twice a day. And then you need to apply anti-inflammatory ointment.

The second stage

Then, within 4 days, the area of the injured skin is covered with a protective crust. She will hold on until the end of the process. Here you will need to periodically apply a moisturizer.

The third stage

In the next 5 days, the skin will begin to dry out, the formed seal in the place of the applied pattern will gradually begin to disappear. The superficial skin will begin to peel off, and then completely peel off.

Throughout the entire period, you will need to remember that you cannot visit the bathhouse and sauna, scratch, rub and injure the skin, expose to sunlight, avoid sports and hard physical work. It is also better not to wear tight clothes, let the skin "breathe". And healing will happen much faster.
