According to my observations, for girls the tattoo sleeve is often chosen in the size 1/2, for men the long sleeve and ¾ are more characteristic. While these are just conventions, in reality, there are no rules.
Another interesting observation is that often the sleeve consists of images that are not connected to each other. This is because initially different tattoos were applied to different areas of the hand, which were later combined into a common plot.
Of course, for a sleeve tattoo, it is desirable to create a general plot, picture, motive and mood. It can be biomechanics, cosmophysics, historical painting, and so on. I would especially like to highlight the blackwork sleeve - an area of the arm that is completely painted over in black. There is an opinion that when it comes to tattoos, it is men who are more likely to experiment, test themselves and their bodies in new directions. Girls, in turn, more often follow the already beaten path, choosing more conservative and traditional motives when choosing a plot. In this regard, men's tattoo sleeves can sometimes surprise, shock and amaze the imagination with their uniqueness.
More recently, the trash polka style was little known among the broad masses, few decided on voluminous work in the additional work, and so on.
